People may be mistaken to belief the camping in the jungle is a peace of cake but this may not be the truth. In the jungle, running water or electricity among the other amenities that are present in a civilized society do not exist. This calls for experience for a person to feel comfortable while camping in the jungle. However, an inexperienced person may do some research and come up with the survival tactics that need to be employed for one to feel comfortable.
Before a person embarks to go to camp in any given forest, it is of paramount importance for that person to have a clear understanding of what that forest looks like. This should be in terms of terrain, weather conditions, and the availability of some basic needs such as water. When one going to camp in a jungle that does not have water, such a person should be prepared to carry enough water for use during the time s/he will be in that forest. This means that such a person has to learn how to use water sparingly. This may imply that such a person may be forced to forgo some things such as bathing and drinking lots of water.
The type and amount of food that a person needs to carry to forest is also important before engaging in such a mission. The food should be able to stay for several days without going bad because in the jungle there are no refrigerators. However, a forest may be a cold one so the food will be able to stay for several days. On the other hand, in some jungles have foods that can be gathered in the form of wild berries or hunting wild animals. In such forestes, a person has to have a clear idea of the type of berries that are not poisonous and acquire some hunting skills. The experience of hunting can be acquired by engaging the services of an experienced jungle camper who has done it before.
Clothing that one has to take to the forest depends on the temperatures that are experienced in that woods. Since there are no houses in the jungle it is always advisable to carry very warm clothing because rains may start anytime. In addition, even in deserts where rains are the nights are known to be very cold. In the forest there are no conventional medicines so a person has to learn they type of herbs that are available in the jungle a person intends to camp. Although some of these things can be learnt through trial and error, it is important to have an idea of what to expect.
One does not have to be experienced in order to have memorable time. What a person needs to understand before venturing into a jungle is that, all the comfort one experiences once in the civilized society is absent. Having this in mind will keep the person ready for any eventualities. Telling the mind that all will be well is the most important thing for one to survive. One should not expect a comfortable life in the forest, because it is always survival for the fittest.
